Jeans are trousers made from denim. Some of the early American jeans were made by Jacob Davis, Calvin Rogers, and Levi Strauss in 1873. From the 1950s, jeans, originally developed for the U.S. military and people working, became popular among teenagers. Historical brands include Levi, Lee and Wrangler. Jeans come in different costumes, including thin, tapered, straight, boot cut, cut mom, childbirth and reflections.The jeans have become very popular with casual clothes all over the world, and have been used for decades. They come in many styles and colors, but the "blue jeans" particularly identified in American culture, especially the American Old West.

In the 1970's the denim industry has introduced the washing technique developed by GWG also known as "Great Western Co. clothing." Donald Freeland of Edmonton, Alberta, pioneered the method, which has helped to denim to a larger market and more versatile. Acceptance of jeans continued in 1980 and 1990, to the point where jeans are now a wardrobe, with the average North American has seven pairs.Currently, jeans can be seen worn by both sexes and all ages.
